Go ahead with the right tire for your driving safety.
In every vehicle leased from Garanti BBVA Fleet, we consider driver safety first and we change the tires of the vehicles we leased at predetermined mileages. In addition, considering the tire needs that vary according to the seasons, we also provide a set (4 pieces) winter tires for each vehicle.
You can make your tire requests on our Internet Branch, under the "Transactions" menu.
For your safety, we facilitate your seasonal tire use. We change the Summer/Winter Tires of the vehicles you lease from Garanti BBVA Fleet as free of charge in the mid-season months of April and October.
Considering the new tire order and the peak at tire dealers, we recommend that you get your winter tire mounted between the dates of October 1st and November 15th.
Each season has its own specific weather conditions and the effects of each season are different on the roads. Therefore, your vehicle tires must also be suitable for weather conditions and the variable structure of the road.
In winter, at temperatures close to 0°C and on wet roads, at 90 km/s, winter tires provide the braking capability at a distance of 5.4 m shorter than summer tires. However, winter tires wear more easily in the summer months when the air temperature increases, the road grip weakens, the braking distance is prolonged and the fuel consumption increases.
In winter and on snowy roads, winter tires at a speed of 50 km/s provide 8.3 m shorter braking distance compared to summer tires. However, winter tires wear more easily in the summer months when the air temperature increases, the road grip weakens, the braking distance is prolonged and the fuel consumption increases.
In summer, at an air temperature of over 25°C and on dry roads, at a speed of 100 km/s, summer tires provide the braking capability at a distance of 16 m shorter than winter tires. However, when the air temperature drops below 7°C, summer tires lose their elasticity, road grip weakens and braking distance is prolonged.
*Information on changes in braking distance has been provided by Pirelli.
According to the clause (j) of paragraph 1 of Article 6 of the "Regulation on Measure and Procedures for Loading Vehicles and Tolerances on Weighing and Dimension Measurement" published in the Official Gazette dated 08/11/2012 and numbered 28461, it is obligatory for the vehicles to be used for passenger and goods transportation to use winter tires between the dates of 1 December and 1 April of each year. It is compulsory to use winter tires in passenger cars in the four-month period between December 1 of each year and April 1 of the following year. As Garanti BBVA Fleet, our recommendation is the transition to winter tires should be made before December. Due to the new tire order and the appointment periods at the tire dealers, it is recommended that the tire changes be made between October 1st and November 15th to avoid delays.
You can store your seasonal tires that are not mounted to your vehicle, as free of charge, at the dealer you have changed tires within the scope of Garanti BBVA Fleet's Tire Storage Service. We can presently provide Tire Storage Service in the following provinces. In provinces other than counted below, we request the tires to be stored by the user.
You can examine the chart below to find out the tire type mounted to the vehicle you have leased.
You must have the tires replaced in due course, in order to be able to make safe use of the vehicles you rent from Garanti BBVA Fleet.
